We Are Here to Help
We are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our clients. Through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, we have helped many clients find a new path to a brighter financial future. We can help if you are struggling with credit card debts, medical bills and other debt problems.
How Can We Stop Wage Garnishment or Auto Repossession?
When we file for bankruptcy on your behalf, you will receive an automatic stay from further collection activity. This includes wage garnishments and car repossessions.
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
If you are eligible for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you may be able to discharge most of your debts and keep your car. You can keep your car in two ways.
First, if you own your car (without debt), you may be able to keep your car through a bankruptcy exemption. Certain assets, like cars and homes of certain value, are exempt from liquidation. Second, if you still owe money on your car loan, you can discharge other unsecured debts and keep your car through a debt reaffirmation. We can discuss each of these methods of protecting assets at your free consultation.
Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
For people who are not eligible for Chapter 7 bankruptcy or who have significant assets they want to protect from liquidation, a Chapter 13 bankruptcy may be the answer. The automatic stay is a benefit provided for both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13.
In addition to the protection offered by the automatic stay, a Chapter 13 bankruptcy may allow you to pay your debts more gradually through a bankruptcy court approved debt repayment plan. Visit our page on Chapter 13 bankruptcy to learn more.
